Can I upload my own photo to paint from?

Yes. Drag the photo into the the box on the top of this page or click "Browse" and select the file.

Can I take a picture?

Yes, select the "Photo" button above, take a picture, and start painting.

Can I use a stock photo to paint from?

Yes. Click the "Search" button, type in your idea, and browse among thousands of free stock photos. All the photos are free to use, no attribution required.

What's a project?

When you upload or select a photo to paint from, a new Project is created. In the project, you can edit and crop the photo, add a grid, and extract sample colors.

How many projects can I create?

Guest users (without an account) can create 1 project.

Logged in users can create an unlimited number of projects.

If you create an account or log in, your 1 project will be assigned to your account, and you can keep editing it later.

It is recommended to create an account in order to not lose your guest projects.

What is a full screen mode?

In the full screen mode, you can view your reference photo without distractions. It is useful to open on a phone or tablet and place next to your easel or table for easy comparison.
